The RFC states that the introduction of a feature into a specification is one of the most important aspects and that the categorization doesn't align with the baseline initiative.
But it doesn't say why this was decided.
Aligning with baseline/web-features seems to have so many positive traits that I do wonder why this isn't used?
- shared context and mental model of when a feature is real and ready
- shared naming and definition of features
- shared documentation effort
- not having to explain all the nuances of specification vs implementation vs interop all over again
Maybe @ddbeck or @foolip also have some thoughts on this?
