server not reset

Using wp2; turned off internet for maintenance, fastest server was hit a few times when offline, so failures and response time of that one rose; turned internet on again, but that server hasn't been used for days because its score is stuck at a low value;

how long does it take for that server to be reset to normal?

Should serverInfo.noticeFailure be used at all with wp2? It decreases the score both by response time and failure count.

@jedisct1 Please undo #2986, it does the opposite of what it says. Or should we just remove serverInfo.noticeFailure from it?

1. IIRC stale responses were introduced to help with client side network connection issues like short term network outtage. #2986 changes the concept to a server side issue and punishes stale responses so recovery takes much longer. How does this benefit the original problem?
2. Isn't a complete server refresh (resetting query count, etc.) supposed to happen now and then? It happens to most servers, but not to all. Why?
3. Thanks for c980483, however this looks like overkill to me. One of the reasons for wp2 is to avoid sorting.
4. I currently use http3 = true. As those connections are identified by an id instead of the ip, how long does DNSCrypt-Proxy keep using the same id, i.e. how long can the server recognize you despite an ip change?

As long as you're making DNS queries at least once every 30 seconds, the QUIC connection stays alive indefinitely with the same connection ID.

http3 is disabled by default for a reason.

If there's a certificate error or it's unreachable, its score stays low.
