This may be related to an issue I encountered after the latest update:

1. I saw updates and told UniGet to install them
2. UniGet went ahead and "installed" them, for some items (Git for Windows, Visual Studio 2026, PowerToys) finishing in subsecond time!
3. Becoming suspicious due to the too fast success messages, I then checked:
   • Git for Windows still at: 2.54.0.windows.1
   • Visual Studio still at: 18.7.1
   • PowerToys still at: 0.100.0
4. What's worse: after refreshing the list of available updates, it now doesn't bring up any updates despite these spurious "successful updates" not having done anything

It looks as if UniGet is caching the state it "believes" the machine to be in, instead of inquiring about the actual versions of installed packages.

PS: the reason for Visual Studio being absent in the above list is that I updated it manually between finding the symptoms and running winget upgrade again.
