Feature Description

Until version 5.2.2, PipePipe had never disappointed me. But one day, I suddenly couldn't stream any videos at all. I tried all the 5.2.3 beta versions through to the stable release, and this error still persists.

You're basically telling me to buy a new phone. I immediately installed NewPipe, LibreTube, Flow, and Tubular (which was recently discontinued), and all of them work perfectly fine without needing to update WebView, especially NewPipe and Tubular, which share the same source code base as PipePipe.

The reason I moved to PipePipe was that it seemed to receive updates more quickly. Later, the comment scrolling was improved in a mid-cycle update. Lastly, the recent update adopted the video player UI design that Clipious applies, which is better.

After the 5.2.3 update, I noticed an issue: in PipePipe X and beta versions with the new UI, the search bar failed to return any results regardless of query, while video loading, comments, and subscriptions remained functional. This might be related to the WebView requirement introduced in the latest regular update, which could be causing this error.

Please take this into consideration so that users who can and cannot update their WebView can still continue using this app.

Thank you.
