Describe the bug

i may be wrong, but it seemed to me that versions <5.2 remembered the format resp. codec you downloaded and suggested it for the next download (beside the in the settings chosen resolution).

since one of the 5.2.x updates (i'm not sure which), at least on YouTube the resolution is still the correct one, but the suggested format is always "AV01" (if enabled; if not, then "VP9" - if enabled - and then "AVC1") no matter what you downloaded the last time, which is quite tedious. 😒
...especially on a weaker device where i usually want to download VP9, but still want to be able to download AV01, if i save it for later resp. other devices.

i would appreciate if PipePipe remembers the last downloaded format (again) or even if a setting can be added about the preferred format/codec resp. their priorities.

Version

5.2.3

Frequency

Always (100% of the time)

Device

tested on a few different devices and versions

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. go to "Settings" > "Player" and activate all "additional Formats" (names can be slightly off, because that's my translation)
  2. try to download a video
  3. in PipePipe 5.1.1 e.g. VP9 is the suggested codec; in PipePipe 5.2.3 it is AV01 for the same video with the same resolution, although i usually download as VP9 (on both devices).
