Numbered texts in parsons blocks are rendered as ordered lists when parsed as git-flavored-markdown.

This only happens when one leads the block descriptor with something like "1." or "a.". Using "1)" will not trigger this, so we can get around it for the moment. But it would be nice to eventually fix this, even if it is not a high priority.
