Can you make a clean code to have only the core functionality?

Also, I can only see the Pchat, but I dont know how to make it work locally to get up the chat running. I really would appreciate your help here.

Hm, have you gone through the documentation on the site? You have to setup your config.php and then run the server.php file. You can also start by following the example for a websocket server, because I have provided both server and client code there. This way you can make sure that you have your environment configured and working before you start developing your own server.
