Having the same issue
Running through Docker on Debian 12 server with an AMD processor, I set the CPU to only use 1 core, as per the README.

It shows the message in first screenshot until it kicks me to the selection screen on the second screenshot

Also having the issue through K8s, also on a Debian 12 server, which has an Intel CPU.

Tried again today setting the VERSION variable to 13, and it worked both in Docker and K8s. Seems like an issue specifically with 14.
