What information was incorrect, unhelpful, or incomplete?

Mobile browsers have been supporting <meta name="viewport"> for years now, yet the support data is missing from BCD.

• There’s an (incomplete) CSS Viewport Module Level 1 spec listing most of the properties implemented by browsers today.

• There’s CSS Round Display Level 1 listing the viewport-fit property for the @Viewport at-rule that only Safari supports (and Chrome is working on implementation)

• Viewport is not mentioned in the HTML spec

  • There’s some activity in the 2018 issue, though

• Firefox 43 shipped support for dynamically changing viewport

• Firefox 133 recently shipped interactive-widget property (but there was nowhere to log it)

• Chrome 108 shipped interactive-widget property

• There’s viewport-fit non-standard value that might still be supported in Safari.

• Apple’s ancient docs:
