Problem
In cases where the AI fails to provide an answer and suggests reaching out, the user remains anonymous.
This creates a gap where:
Potentially valuable feedback and support opportunities are lost
This is especially impactful for first-time or non-technical users, who may perceive the AI experience as part of the core product rather than a separate tool.
Solution
Introduce an optional way to capture user contact information when the AI cannot answer a question.
Trigger: When the AI fails to provide a confident or complete answer
UX: Prompt similar to Intercom (e.g., “Want us to follow up? Leave your email”)
Input: Optional email field (opt-in only)
Benefits
Enables follow-up with users who encounter unresolved issues
Improves support for new or non-technical users
Helps close the loop on unanswered questions
