How should Hosts pass styling tokens to Apps?

Context

One of the motivations of MCP Apps is to bridge between the hosts' and the providers' design requirements - providers need to maintain their identity and brand, whereas hosts need to maintain their consistent design language and overall user experience.

Open questions

• What do we expect hosts to be able to customize in apps?
• Do we expect all hosts to align on styling options, or do we provide flexibility for hosts to "override" more styles?
• How do they pass these customizations to the app itself? (custom css, css variables, theme, etc)?
• How can we make sure that brand identity is preserved with these customizations (for example if a brand is identified with a specific color palette, or even a specific button shape)
• How can we make sure that providers don't need to build several instances of their app to target different hosts? Should we define that?

In general - what are we expecting the spec to define as a basis - and what do we leave for specific host customizations?
