How to use iw3.desktop with BigscreenVR to watch with friends

Requirements PC:

• Install BigscreenVR (via Steam) and/or Bigscreen Remote Desktop
• Make a BigscreenVR account (if don't have one already)
• Install iw3
• 2nd display or install a Virtual Display (if u don't have a 2nd physical display) and configure it (resolution/refresh rate) with windows display settings

We have different usecases, but next 2 steps are the same for each usecase:

• Start "iw3.desktop.gui", set it to "viewer mode", select "monitor 1" (this your 2nd display) and press "Start" button
• Start whatever you like to be in 3D (eg Mediaplayer, Live TV etc), shift it fully to the right into display 2 and switch it to fullscreen mode. (If you don't have a real 2nd monitor watch iw3.desktop-window to see what ure doing.)

Usecase 1 (PC with connected VR Headset):

• Start BigscreenVR and login with your account
• Click on iw3.desktop-window and press F11 for fullscreen
• In BigscreenVR go to "my room->desktop" , activate desktop streaming and set view mode to SBS

Usecase 2a (Meta Quest + Bigscreen Remote Desktop):

• Start Bigscreen Remote Desktop and login with your account
• Start BigscreenVR on Quest and login with same account as above. (The Bigscreen Remote Desktop App should show that u are connected)
• Click on iw3.desktop-window and press F11 for fullscreen
• In BigscreenVR(Quest) go to "my room->desktop" , activate desktop streaming and set view mode to SBS

Usecase 2b (Meta Quest + BigscreenVR in streamer mode on PC)[Recommended Method]:

Preparations (you only need to do this once):

• Make a 2nd BigscreenVR account (choose a name like in my case "RudisStreamerBot")
• Disconnect VR Headset from PC (not sure if this is really nessesarry)
• Create a "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Bigscreen\BigscreenStreamer.bat" with the following content
  start ./Bigscreen.exe -popupwindow -usertype streamer
• Right click on "BigscreenStreamer.bat" and send it to desktop (creates a desktop shortcut)
• Start "BigscreenStreamer.bat", wait until BigscreenVR-menu appears on your desktop (SteamVR will tell you that you don't have a VR Headset connected... just close SteamVR because it's not needed), login with your 2nd BigscreenVR account and make your room public
• Start BigscreenVR on Quest, login with your main account, find and join your streaming bot's room and send him a friend request
• Accept your friend request in BigscreenVR-menu on PC (i recommend your friend make friend wirh your bot as well)

Usecase 2b normal use:

• Start "BigscreenStreamer.bat" and open your bot's streaming room
• Start BigscreenVR on Quest with your main account and enter your bot's streaming room
• Click on iw3.desktop-window and press F11 for fullscreen
• In BigscreenVR(PC) go to "my room->desktop" , activate desktop streaming and set view mode to SBS

Why i recommend usecase 2b:

• As a guest in your bot's room, you can see the quality of the video the other guests (eg your friends) will see
• You can leave the room whenever u like without terminating the video for the other guests (you could even switch off your quest)

Another usecase:
I've used iw3.desktop.gui with the above setup (viewer mode and 2 displays) to stream the SBS video to my FireTV 4k, which is connected to my 3D-TV and my 3D capable projector.
To stream my desktop i use "Parsec" as host on PC and as client on FireTV 4k. (Another option might be "Anydesk"... haven't tried it yet)
If someone wanna try this: You have to sideload android version of "Parsec" and control it with a bluetooth keyboard with mouse pad.
