Click problem when trying to add/edit

I'm using Python, Jinja 2 and MariaDB. My calendar gets all assignments correctly out of the db but adding something new isn't working at all. It seems to me that clicking on a day or selecting a period isn't registered, so nothing gets triggered. I'm using calendar.on('beforeCreateEvent', async function (event). Console doesn't show anything.
