Can OpenLIT be used for observability of non-AI applications?

I’ve been exploring OpenLIT and really like how it integrates with OpenTelemetry for GenAI and LLM observability. It seems quite extensible and vendor-neutral under the hood.

Out of curiosity — has anyone tried or considered using OpenLIT for observability or telemetry in standard web services, databases, or DevOps stacks that aren’t directly related to GenAI or LLMs?

Since it’s built on top of OpenTelemetry, I was wondering if it could technically handle traces or metrics from more traditional applications as well. Would love to know if anyone has experimented in that direction or if there are known limitations.
