Nowadays, browsers support "dark mode".

it would be great if the entire UI would detect browser preferences and run in dark mode, if preferred;
and fall back to current light mode.

this affects:

• text
• background colors
• charts

alternatives

there are browser plugins, like dark reader, that analyze and recolors websites on client side.
This works okay-ish for https://pypistats.org, but misses the recoloring of charts. see:
