Cannot use amcrest-python with ssl in home-assistant with new firmware

The api call that amcrest-python uses calls http instead of https. With the updated firmware of IP4M-1041 it no longer throws a 302 response but a 400. Is there a way to also allow error code 400 to redirect to https? More info can be found here:

I've gotten it to work by specifying port and changing protocol in http.py manually to https instead of http
