[Feature Request] Cross CPU architecture tests

Creating this issue as a feature request item for myself, planning to contribute and also use to close #327 
By using qemu-user https://www.qemu.org/docs/master/user/main.html , Linux binaries built for any CPU should be able to run on x86_64. we could easily have cross tests, confirming builds for different CPUs and different versions are compatible.
