Cannot connect to MCP server issues

Hello, this may not be an issue with DC, but maybe my setup? I primarily use windows and have tried two different setup options and I cannot seem to get DC to work properly with Claude Desktop.

I'm going to search for the error log. It ran a command and worked (saved a file) but then threw an error (cannot connect to MCP network) when it tried to run the file.

What method of installation you used?
You are on windows and judging by information you shared it did install and run but crashing afterwards.

What kind of file it tried to run? It used start terminal process for that?

Hi, I tried running DesktopCommanderMCP inside a Docker container (by building it into a Docker image), and after commit cc89540 (2025-10-22) | Add feature switches and new survey (#265) [Eduard Ruzga], it started failing to retrieve tools via get_tools.

I suspect the issue might be related to the following code in src/index.ts:

I tested yesterday with our installation way and that worked.
Will try installing in clean docker today to see how it works there
Did test in few ways and worked, need to understand how to reproduce.

It use langchain-mcp-adapters for invoking get_tools to mcp server, and it works well for @wonderwhy-er/desktop-commander@0.2.17, but failed for @wonderwhy-er/desktop-commander@0.2.19

I do need to find a way to fix that does not remove or stop waiting for feature switches.
