aria-live on the whole gallery navigation?

I was looking for an accessible react image gallery, but this component puts aria-live on the entire gallery navigation.
Which makes it not accessible friendly. It reads the entire list of buttons every time you navigation through a images.

Is there a way to remove aria-live on the parent element? It is preventing me from using this component.

I was expecting it to read the button label on focus, and then announce " Slide 1 of 10 " when I select the image.

But this is not meeting my needs for accessibility.

Is this still an issue? If so, can you list steps to reproduce this, listing what currently happens and what you expect to happen?

Hey @xiaolin yes, this is still an issue. To test it (if you are on a Mac) type cmd + f5 to run the VoiceOver utility.
Then visit react-image-gallery's website. Click on tab to navigate the page with the VO utility running. Try switching slides. You'll see the VO doesn't really work as it should.
