Feature: Supporting FLV live streams

I was wondering if there is any way that vaughn live streams can be added to the list of streams like twitch? Ive noticed that most retro tv live streams always seem to be on Vaughn.live and vaughn never seems to have the m3u8, and the m3u8 from vaughn that I tried always ends up with cors errors. Could there be a more simple way to get by this like with twitch? I hope this makes sense

I'm not familiar with Vaughn.live but I took a cursory look and it appears that they use flv streams for their streaming servers. We don't support FLV video streams natively at the moment, but that's a good idea. https://bilibili.github.io/flv.js/ looks to be an option to transcode FLV on the fly.

Embedding

They've got a developer API but I couldn't find an embed link on the videos I chose at random. Looking further I found this blog they posted talking about how "Embeds will be disabled by default. The channel owner will need to explicitly enable them." You might contact the channel owner you're watching to see whether they can turn on embeds so that you can get an iframe URL to use, then you'd be able to embed it like any webpage:

As far as CORS errors go we are limited by the browser; I looked at an example raw video stream and it appears that CORS is configured to allow any website to access it.

As a side note about methodology, in implementing specific provider engines I'd like to respect the platform authors' wishes so if they actively don't want to allow embedding I won't add something specifically to make it easy to bypass those. For instance I've gotten permission from the author of our default radio provider (Plaza.one) to embed their stream but they locked down their metadata API behind CORS recently so I removed the call to scrape it. If we can get permission to use that endpoint I'll re-enable it. Generic functions to play file formats however aren't provider-specific and we should support as many as we can.

I've updated the issue's title to reflect what I mentioned. Ultimately an FLV decoder would need to either be a middleware before we deliver video to Vidstack or its own content engine.
