I'm a Software Developer working in a AI & Automation architect role at my current job. I have always loved to build things for pretty much anything I could think of in my day to day life. Getting to be a Developer in 2026 is scary but exciting, I have more fun then ever coding with AI tools and really have dramatically increased how much code I can output, it just opens the doors to anything you can think of really, it's so fun. On the other hand, is it going to take my job? Maybe, but i'll still have fun playing with it, and I truly beleive if you build with it everyday, you won't have to worry about losing your job because you will be outputting so much more and be that much more attractive to employers, plus it has never been easier to start a business for the entreprenurs out there.
