Hi there 👋

I’m a Senior Software Engineer x Design Engineer on the Origami team at the Financial Times, focusing on our Design System.

My current work involves:

  • Design System Development: Collaborating with designers in Figma to create modern, composable components for flexible, consistent user experiences.
  • Frontend Engineering: Building accessible and robust user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, and React.
  • Cloud and Infrastructure: Delivering scalable solutions using AWS and modern infrastructure tooling.
  • Inclusive Web Practices: Ensuring accessibility and usability are core to everything I build.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Bridging design and engineering to deliver cohesive, effective solutions.

My previous experience at the FT includes:

  • Editorial Technology: Developing editorial tools such as Spark (in-house CMS) and Lantern (in-house data analytics platform).
  • Marketing Technology: Working on a project that developed multiple efficient data streams, consolidating millions of rows from various data sources into a single, performant solution using AWS.
  • Email Platform: Supporting infrastructure that delivers over a million emails daily to subscribers.

I’m passionate about creating clear, accessible, and sustainable web experiences.
