Motivation
Having ICP and cycles makes it too complicated to newcomer to understand how to provision resources. Plus, it gives a crypto vibe to the platform which I want to avoid.
Nowadays, there is the cycles ledger which allow ICRC account to hold cycles. This ledger also implements a
withdrawfeature which can be use for "top-up".cycles.expresssupport ICRC account - i.e. it makes easy to convert dollars to cycles.And since we are moving away from the mandatory Mission Control, I have to introduce a new wallet ID - derived from the login - anyway.
Therefore there is an opportunity here to get rid of ICP and solely rely on cycles. This way devs will know about dollars and cycles, the related compute resource.
