## Weekly update — August 17, 2026

### Bug fixes

- **Round initialization is now more resilient to races.** When another node completes a round before yours, your node no longer fails during gas estimation. The round initializer also tears down deterministically, so operators see cleaner shutdowns. This completes the earlier fix that only handled post-submission reverts.
