# DSV Validator Nodes

:::caution Status: Complete

πŸ›‘ Epoch release stopped (June 16, 2026 at 12:00 noon UTC)

βœ… Pending validator rewards (days 91–104) distributed

πŸ”’ Node burn closed (dashboard offline July 16, 2026)

πŸ›‘ Powerloom chain shut down (July 21, 2026)

:::

## To our DSV validators

You have been running validator nodes for 104 days, keeping the DSV network alive in production and helping prove that decentralized sequencing works. Thank you for believing in what we were building.

## What you should do

### 1. Turn off your validator

Epoch release stopped on **June 16, 2026 at 12:00 noon UTC**. If your validator is still running, shut it down. No further submissions are expected and there is no penalty for going offline.

```bash
./dsv.sh stop
```

### 2. Recover your funds

Validator node burns and fund recovery were handled through the same dashboard path as snapshotter nodes. [mint.powerloom.network](https://mint.powerloom.network) went offline on **July 16, 2026 at 6:00 AM UTC**. Funds not recovered before the deadline cannot be recovered.

### 3. Pending validator rewards (days 91–104)

Validator rewards for days 91 through 104 were distributed to node owners within 48 hours of the announcement. These were separate from snapshotter slot rewards (which were claimed via the dashboard before it shut down).

Validator rewards were attributed off-chain based on on-chain submission activity (VPA batch submissions, priority assignments) and distributed directly to the owner address registered for each node ID.

## Timeline

| Action | Status |
|--------|--------|
| Shut down validator | Complete β€” validators should be offline |
| Burn node & recover funds | Closed β€” deadline was July 16, 2026 |
| Pending rewards (days 91–104) distributed | Complete |
| Powerloom chain shutdown | Complete β€” July 21, 2026 at 6:00 AM UTC |

Assets not bridged off the Powerloom chain before July 21, 2026 are inaccessible. See [Contracts, Bridges & On-chain Components](/wind-down/contracts-and-bridges).

## Context

For operational metrics and network performance during the DSV mainnet run, see [Stability & Scale](/dsv-mainnet/stability-and-scale).

# FAQ

## Why is Powerloom shutting down?

After reviewing the project's path forward, we concluded that Powerloom no longer has a sustainable basis to continue operating, maintaining, and growing the network responsibly. This decision was not made lightly. For further context, see the [wind-down announcement blog post](https://blog.powerloom.io/wind-down).

## Is the shutdown complete?

Yes. The wind-down followed an orderly schedule with published dates for each milestone. All milestones are now complete, including the Powerloom chain shutdown on **July 21, 2026 at 6:00 AM UTC**. See the [Wind-Down Timeline](/wind-down/timeline) for the full schedule.

## Should I keep running my node?

No. Epoch release stopped on **June 16, 2026 at 12:00 noon UTC**. Running your node beyond that point only incurred infrastructure costs with no reward accrual. If your node is still running, stop it with:

```bash
powerloom-snapshotter-cli diagnose --clean --force
```

The dashboard for burning nodes and claiming tokens went offline on **July 16, 2026**. See [Node Management](/wind-down/node-onboarding) and [Snapshotter Rewards](/wind-down/snapshotter-rewards) for details.

## What happens to pending rewards?

Reward claims were available on [mint.powerloom.network](https://mint.powerloom.network) until **July 16, 2026 at 6:00 AM UTC**. The dashboard has been shut down permanently. Rewards not claimed before the deadline cannot be recovered. See [Reward Claims](/wind-down/reward-claims).

## What happens to staked POWER or node slots?

Unstaking and node burns were available via the dashboard until **July 16, 2026 at 6:00 AM UTC**. These actions are no longer possible. POWER and node slot funds not recovered before the deadline cannot be recovered. See [Staked POWER](/wind-down/staked-power) and [Node Management](/wind-down/node-onboarding).

## I missed the July 16 deadline. Can I still recover?

No. The dashboard was the only path for claims, unstaking, and node burns. These actions cannot be recovered through the dashboard or direct contract interaction.

## I missed the July 21 deadline. Can I still bridge?

No. The Powerloom chain and bridge were shut down on **July 21, 2026 at 6:00 AM UTC**. Assets not bridged off the chain before this date cannot be recovered. See [Contracts, Bridges & On-chain Components](/wind-down/contracts-and-bridges).

## What happens to POWER?

The POWER token exists on Ethereum mainnet at [`0x429F0d8233e517f9acf6F0C8293BF35804063a83`](https://etherscan.io/token/0x429F0d8233e517f9acf6F0C8293BF35804063a83). It is an ERC-20 token and continues to exist on Ethereum regardless of the wind-down. POWER that remained on the Powerloom chain at shutdown is inaccessible.

## Will the APIs and BDS remain available?

No. All APIs, BDS, resolver node, metering service, MCP endpoints, and agent infrastructure went offline on **June 16, 2026 at 12:00 noon UTC** (right after epoch release stopped). See [APIs, BDS & Hosted Services](/wind-down/apis-and-services) for the full list.

## Will dashboards and claim interfaces stay online?

No. [mint.powerloom.network](https://mint.powerloom.network) was available until **July 16, 2026 at 6:00 AM UTC** and has been shut down permanently. See [mint.powerloom.network](/wind-down/dashboards).

## Will contracts remain live?

Deployed smart contracts on Ethereum remain accessible on-chain indefinitely. Contracts on the Powerloom chain became inaccessible when the chain shut down on **July 21, 2026 at 6:00 AM UTC**. Powerloom-operated frontends, indexers, and APIs have been wound down. See [Contracts, Bridges & On-chain Components](/wind-down/contracts-and-bridges).

## Will the docs and GitHub repositories stay online?

Documentation and repositories were archived during the wind-down. The docs site remains online for reference. See [Docs & GitHub Repositories](/wind-down/docs-and-repos) for details.

## How do I avoid scams?

Powerloom will never ask for your seed phrase or private key. There is no private claim link, emergency migration, surprise airdrop, or DM-based support process. Use only official Powerloom links listed in the [Wind-Down Timeline](/wind-down/timeline#security-warning).

# Node Management

:::info

❗️ New node minting disabled

❗️ New staking disabled

πŸ”’ Node burn closed (dashboard offline July 16, 2026)

:::

## Current Status

No new nodes can be minted. No new staking positions can be opened. These operations are permanently disabled as part of the wind-down.

[mint.powerloom.network](https://mint.powerloom.network) went offline on **July 16, 2026 at 6:00 AM UTC**. Node burns, reward claims, and unstaking are no longer possible through the dashboard. The Powerloom chain was shut down on **July 21, 2026 at 6:00 AM UTC**.

## Wind-down checklist for node operators and stakers

All steps are now closed.

1. **Stop your snapshotter node** (if still running). Epoch release stopped on **June 16, 2026 at 12:00 noon UTC**; there is no reason to keep running. From your snapshotter host:

```bash
powerloom-snapshotter-cli diagnose --clean --force
```

2. **Claim pending snapshotter rewards** β€” **Closed.** The dashboard went offline July 16, 2026. See [Reward Claims](/wind-down/reward-claims).

3. **Burn your snapshotter node and claim your tokens back** β€” **Closed.** See [Reward Claims](/wind-down/reward-claims).

4. **Unstake and withdraw your staked POWER** β€” **Closed.** See [Staked POWER](/wind-down/staked-power).

5. **Bridge your POWER out of the Powerloom chain** β€” **Closed.** The chain and bridge shut down July 21, 2026. See [Contracts, Bridges & On-chain Components](/wind-down/contracts-and-bridges).

:::warning Missed a deadline?

The dashboard was the only path for claims, unstaking, and node burns (deadline: July 16, 2026). The bridge was the only path for moving assets off the Powerloom chain (deadline: July 21, 2026). Assets not recovered before these dates cannot be recovered.

:::

## Minting, staking & burning

- New node minting is **disabled**. No new node slots can be created.
- New staking is **disabled**. No additional POWER can be staked.
- Node burns are **closed**. The dashboard went offline on July 16, 2026.
